These oranments are vintage clothes pins, the white ones ar wrapped with small strips os birch bark with "found" this and thats, their sign carries the message of "Hope". The tea stained ones are gauze with bells and twigs, their message is "Peace", and they have little birds for companions

"Fiesta" the cousin of "Pink Lady" is very colorful and always creating mischief. Which would explain why she is still with me. Not that I mind at all, there is never a dull moment aroound here!

This "Pink Lady" was adopted into a lovely home by a very nice lady! Just when you think they all lived happily ever after, danger lurked, alas! the end came quickly in the "jaws" of a sweet, curious and much loved dog. Moving on, there will be replacement and there will be a happy ending after all!

Mimosa

October

October

Can it be true? It's October already! The Post Expressions show was a hit and was extended into October. There were many wonderful pieces of art, from artists all over the country!

I have made another witch for the season. My witches aren't really about doing evil. It is just a forum to commerate someone who has done the wrong thing and caused mayhem and pain in the life of someone I know. Her name is always Cassandra, and I always hope this is the last one I feel the need to make. This Cassandra is about a mother who is making choices that impact lives for now and possibly forever in a negative way. So, that's her story.

On a lighter note I created Peter Peter Pumkin Eater. His story is "Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, Had a wife and couldn't keep her. She ran away with the pumkin seller, because...He would always call her honey, and he's the one with all the money!

And then there is Mimosa, she carries her Daily Planner with her all the time. The "pages" talk about: Evil Whispers,Dark Secrets, dirty deeds, lies, revenge and most disturbing of all,Missing Person....You may think all is lost for her,but on the back she has a page with the words from Amazing Grace which renew her hope for redemption.

The girls of spring

I am posting a few dolls ready for the Artiscape show in April. I call them the girls of spring because, they are supported by a springy wire. Working on some cats and hope to get some birds done, also.(we'll see!) The Robins are hopping around my yard and I think they are BEAUTIFUL!!!! They sing so pretty when I leave in the morning, even though I am only 3/4s awake!!!

The First

This is the first art doll I made. Her name is Annie E and she perches on my lite and watches me work, and yes, she does give her opinion now and then! She is made of wire, t-shirt strips, hand dyed cheesecloth, beads and wool roving.
